Mesquite Texas
Roofers Dallas – Mesquite, Texas
Town History
At Roofers Dallas, we’re proud to serve the historic and hardworking community of Mesquite. Originally established in 1873 as a depot town for the Texas and Pacific Railway, Mesquite has grown from humble agricultural roots into a thriving suburban city. The city’s name comes from the mesquite trees that once blanketed the landscape. It incorporated in 1887 and remained a quiet farming hub through the early 20th century, with cotton as the mainstay of its economy. That all changed after World War II when the city began expanding rapidly. By 1960, Mesquite had grown to over 20 square miles and developed into one of the fastest-growing suburbs of Dallas. Today, it balances a rich past with vibrant modern living, and we’re honored to play a part in protecting the homes and rooftops of this historic area.
Area Sports
Living and working in Mesquite means being surrounded by a deep love of sports and Texas traditions. This city is nationally known as the “Rodeo Capital of Texas,” thanks to the long-standing Mesquite Championship Rodeo, which has brought families and fans together since 1958. It’s more than entertainment — it’s a local institution. Sports fans can also cheer on the Mesquite Outlaws, our city’s professional indoor soccer team, who bring fast-paced action to the Mesquite Arena. And let’s not forget Memorial Stadium, one of the largest high school football venues in Texas, where Friday night lights shine bright for local student-athletes. Whether you're on the field or in the stands, Mesquite brings community pride to every game.
Local Attractions
Mesquite offers more than just great roofing clients — it’s also home to a wide variety of attractions that make this a fantastic place to live. The Mesquite Arena and Convention Center is a major hub for concerts, sporting events, expos, and rodeos. Nearby, Town East Mall gives locals a convenient and stylish destination for shopping, dining, and family outings. For those who love being outside, the Mesquite Heritage Trail is a hidden gem — a scenic trail system connecting neighborhoods, parks, and recreational facilities throughout the city. We’ve seen firsthand how much homeowners care about their properties here, and it’s no surprise when the city is this enjoyable to explore.
City Parks
At Roofers Dallas, we appreciate how much green space adds to the value and beauty of a home. That’s why we love working in Mesquite, a city known for its more than 40 public parks and expansive outdoor facilities. The Mesquite Golf Club provides a relaxing weekend escape for many residents, while kids and families enjoy the playgrounds, splash pads, and sports fields across the city. The Heritage Trail adds even more natural value, offering biking and walking paths that run through town. Parks and open spaces help define neighborhoods here — and we take pride in making sure every roof we work on contributes to that well-maintained environment.
